Who will make it to Formula 1?

Starting at the Circuit de Catalunya in late April as the premier support and feeder series to the Formula 1 World Championship is the fourth annual GP2 Series. All previous champions have gone directly to Formula 1; Nico Rosberg, Lewis Hamilton and Timo Glock so this year’s crop of 26 single seater hopefuls have something to aim for. The 2008 GP2 Asia champion Romain Grosjean has to be something of a favourite running for the championship winning ART team but will face stiff competition from the likes of Pastor Maldonado, Alvaro Parente, Sebastien Buemi, Bruno Senna, Andreas Zuber and the ever so quick veteran Giorgio Pantano.

The series will race on all European circuits alongside Formula 1 and will make stops at Catalunya, Istanbul, Monaco, Magny-Cours, Silverstone, Hockenheim, Hungaroring, Valencia, Spa-Franchorchamps before the season finale at the legendary Monza circuit.
